This year, Panoleptos will be once again having their monthly fishing/libation Sundays during the warm months. These fellowship events will be at the Broad River Greenway in Boiling Springs, NC from 10am-2pm at the picnic area by the play ground.
If you would like to fish, you will need a valid NC fishing license and strong hands for grabbling or a fishing rod, gear, and bait. (grabbling will be our focused fishing method) There are also many things to do for the reluctant angler. There is a nice children’s area, as well as an interactive nature trail with a tree ID system, bike and horse trails, canoeing and kayaking (bring your own), swimming (at your own risk; there is no life guard on duty), and a pier for viewing turtles and other wildlife. In addition to fishing, fellowship, and enjoying nature, we will also be grilling and picnicking for lunch. The greenway is a beautifully serene place perfect for Panoleptos fellowship and communing with the Great God Pan.
What you will need to bring:
Your recreational materials (see above for ideas)
Drinks (no alcohol)
Bug spray and sun screen
$5 entrance fee unless you are a Cleveland County resident (those folks get in for free with a parking pass from the ranger)
Chairs or blankets.
Come out with the family and guests and enjoy the day with fellow Panoleptics and Pan. You’ll know it’s a Pan approved place as soon as you stroll down by the river.
